The tours at Brumbaugh are just right for kindergarteners. Our guides showed us how apples are harvested for selling. We learned how to carefully pick apples without bruising them. We watched an apple sorting machine sort the apples into large, medium, and small sizes. We learned how bees help apples and pumpkins grow and how people can safely gather honey from the hive.
After eating our lunches, we explored all the play areas. Following our field trip, each child created a page for our class experience story. Our book will be on display during parent teacher conferences. Each child will have a turn to bring our book home to share with their families after conferences are over.
